Philippe Cloutier, P.Geo., is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Cartier Resources Inc. He holds a B.Sc. in Geology and a certificate in Human Resource Management and has over 25 years of experience in the mining exploration and development business. He has previously worked for industry leaders such as Noranda Inc., Aur Resources Inc., and Soquem. He played a lead role in the discovery and delineation of the Bell-Allard South Cu-Zn Mine in Matagami, Quebec. Since September 2002, he serves as member of the Order of Geologist professional inspection committee. He serves as member of the Board of directors of the AEMQ.
President, CEO and Director
Sylvain Laberge, after obtaining a degree in Hotel management, entered into a sales career specialising in Hotels and Hospital supplies. Following 11 years of success he decided to look into different avenues. He became part of a new company founded in 1999, Renmark Financial Communications Inc., an enterprise specialising in Investor Relations, where he became Vice President and developed an interest for emerging companies and especially mining exploration. Having an entrepreneur spirit and wanting to achieve new goals Sylvain founded S.D.N.L. Financial Communications Inc. in 2007 where he is still President. Mr. Laberge joined Gespeg Copper Resources Inc. in 2012 and became President & Chief Executive Officer in 2013.
Marcel Bergeron, CPA, CA, CMA
Chief Financial Officer and Director
Marcel Bergeron is a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec and of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec and of the. Mr. Bergeron began his career with the accounting firm Petrie Raymond, LLP specialized in the SME sector. Following almost thirty (30) years of practice and having held significant management positions, Mr. Bergeron left the firm to join Devimco Inc., a commercial real estate development corporation, as General Director from June 2006 to June 2009. Since 2009, Mr. Bergeron acts as financial consultant. In addition to his accomplished public accounting career, Mr. Bergeron also sits on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Strateco Resources Inc. He also sits on Boards of Directors and is chief financial officer of Matamec Explorations Inc., the capital pool company Kilkenny Capital Corporation and Quinto Real Capital Corporation. Previously, he sat on the Boards of Directors and Audit Committees of other mining corporations, namely TomaGold Corporation, Jourdan Resources Inc. and MDN Inc. Mr. Bergeron is also the Vice President of Finance of Northern Precious Metals Management Inc.
Michael Curtis has over 40 years of experience in the Canadian financial industry in the areas of trading, research, corporate finance and the management of public companies. In 1998, he founded and became President and a director of Cardwell Capital Inc., a private investment and trading corporation that invests in small and mid- capitalization public companies trading on North American markets. Mr. Curtis was also a Director of Declan Resources Inc., TomaGold Corporation, St-George Platinum and Base Metals Ltd., Argex Silver Capital, Holding Clé D’Or Inc. and Visible Gold Mines Inc. He has been the President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Roadrunner Oil and Gas Inc. and President and Director of Perisson Petroleum Corporation and Opal Energy Corp. He is presently a Director of Cellstop Systems Inc. and Quinto Real Capital Corporation.
Éric Desaulniers, M.Sc., is a Professional geologist with a specialization in geophysics. He holds a bachelor’s degree in geology and a master in geophysics from Laval University in Quebec City. As a project manager for the world-leading geophysical corporation Sander Geophysics Ltd., he managed numerous international large scale interpretation and data acquisition projects in the Middle East, in Central and North African countries, and in North America for major clients like the British Geological Survey, Saudi Aramco, the Moroccan government, BRGM (France) and Shell. In 2007, he participated in an expedition to the North Pole in the Canadian Arctic with the Columbia University of New York. Since 2008, he offers geological and geophysical services to the mineral industry. He was instrumental in the technical interpretation that led to the development of Lac LaBlache Fe-Ti-V deposit, the Desolation Lake Iron deposit and the Lac Lamêlée South Iron deposit. Prior to the start of his career in the mining sector, Mr. Desaulniers served as an Infantry Officer in the Canadian Forces where he specialized in leadership instruction, advanced negotiation training and project management.
Jean-Guy Masse, M.Sc., CFA
Jean-Guy Masse is a mining engineer who has graduated from École Polytechnique in Montreal and holding a master degree in applied sciences and mining management from Stanford University in California. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has been a member of the Association since September 1975. Mr. Masse is the founder of the limited partnerships Northern Precious Metals and director, president and chief executive officer of Northern Precious Metals Management Fund Inc., an investment funds and portfolios management corporation since 2003. He is also President of Masvil Capital Inc., an investment corporation, since 1992. Mr. Masse was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Metco Resources Inc. from 1999 to 2003, President of Orléans Resources Inc. from 1992 to 1998 and Executive Vice President of Dundee and President and Chief Executive Officer of Fonds CMP Ltée, from 1985 to 1992. Mr. Masse has been and is also director of mining corporations the securities of them are listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and has been director and Audit Committee member of Strateco Resources Inc. from April 2000 to June 2015.
